Well it has been a while hasn't it?
I have some interesting news about myself, I think it's rather awesome.
I'm in Thailand right now and it's pretty sweet.
I went on a mission trip with Mount Carmel, and that has now ended, but a few others and I have decided to stay a bit longer for a relaxing holiday. Which has been great, but I'm a little burned by the sun right now, we spent yesterday on the beach. Today might be movie day because it'll be dark and cool in our rooms.
We plan on going to see Cambodia and Vietnam in the next few weeks and then back to Bangkok for our departing flights. But you never know about plans here our visas for vietnam might not work out.
Thats why I havn't been e-mailing or anything like that recently.
Relax, have a drink, read something.

- Im a christian and that pretty much defines my life, I really try to be real about it. Now that doesn't mean I doen't mess up, I do, and all the time. I work at camps during the summer and I really like it. I enjoy kids a lot, and get along with most. I lived in Thailand as a missionary kid for two years in grade 10-11. I also plan to go back there some time soon.

We need something these days to wake us up, perhaps we need to see just how many of us are in the top 2% of richest people in the world? Maybe we need to see death of infants to make our souls cry out to us? probably-a starving boy to ask us for money and we don't give him any, then he falls over-death.
Compassion for those who need it.
Fighting for them who need it.
power to fall from us to them.

Understanding Connections
To me, values are interesting. Mostly I would say that we all have relatively the same values, sure there are differences. I think we all agree on the value of life, love and joy. Now the thing that is most interesting is what we value, perhaps a loyal friend, or maybe a pet. We might even value our WOW account, but the most important value we all have is connection. So how do we connect, and how well do we connect with others? We can all answer this question for our selves; the answer depends on whether or not you feel in need of more connections, or a thirst for deeper connections. Then we need to look at how superficial the connections we already have are.

To remember something good.
We need to be constantly reminded of how much good truly is in this world sometimes. I think we depend on this to keep moving our feet. We in North America often lose sight of what beauty and rest for our souls there truly is here. Even just out the door.

Looking Within
Often we need to look in the mirror and stop comparing ourselves to the way the world works. We need to look in the mirror and see how God might see us. Though the world may look at us as failures, we need to be reminded that God also sees us. He Sees us as rich in his grace and a glorious success.
If God does exist, who has seen him? If God does exist, who has heard him? If God does exist, where is he? If God does exist, who can explain him? If God does exist, would we be able to really understand these things?

lol, I had the pleasure of working with your parents at two different camps this summer, so I guess a fair amount of conversation took place.
I was taught a couple things through or by them this summer and enjoyed sharing in their humor, especially in the craziness of baking for so many people!
I'd be interested in hearing about your trip sometime, if you feel like retelling it.
